Last year, Greener Orkney scoped out a project whose objective was working with local groups from the northern Orkney isles to carry out coastal cleans of areas where marine litter gathers, to remove that litter and to carry out some analysis of the activity gathered.
Further to the award from Marine Fund Scotland that we reported in October, Greener Orkney has now completed the work on the project and the final report can be viewed here and the associated presentation here.
In addition to the generous support from MFS, Greener Orkney is grateful to West of Orkney Windfarm for its donation towards a drone which allowed many not easily accessible areas to be viewed.
