Repair Café Orkney

A Repair Cafe is a pop-up social event where customers can bring things like clothes and household items to be repaired – and learn how to make repairs themselves with the team of friendly repairers.

The first Repair Cafe launched in Amsterdam in 2007. Now there are thousands throughout the world – and we support two in Orkney.

As well as helping customers repair stuff the Repair Cafe volunteers offer a brew and some fabulous home-made cakes and biscuits!

There is no charge for any repairs undertaken or advice given – customers donate what they can afford which keeps the Repair Cafes running.
