In conjunction with the Highlands and Islands Climate Festival and the Great British Beach Clean, over 20 volunteers worked in blustery conditions yesterday on Scapa beach and in an hour managed to remove 56kg of beach litter. Afterwards they enjoyed an excellent barbecue – thanks to Greener Orkney trustees Angela Fitzpatrick and Ruth Lea for organising this.
